Our Story

It all started back in 2009 with a spark of inspiration! We formed a lively group called "Beach Bums," driven by a simple yet powerful idea: gather friends and clean our beaches. What began as a small effort blossomed into something extraordinary as more and more people jumped on board. This amazing growth motivated us to officially register as an NGO - the Beach Bunch!

 

Leading this incredible journey is our passionate co-founder, Rizan Latif, who has been our dedicated President from day one. With the unwavering support of amazing individuals like Dinah Ali and Erika Lim on our executive committee, Beach Bunch thrives on the collective enthusiasm of everyone involved. Our diverse community and the steadfast commitment of our long-term members form the heart of our organization, and we couldn't be more grateful for their devotion to preserving the stunning coastlines of Brunei.

 

Our mission? To protect Brunei's natural beauty by teaming up with communities across the nation! We're tackling plastic pollution head-on through engaging cleanups and educational initiatives. With the incredible support of over 12,000 volunteers, we've proudly removed more than 29.7 tonnes of litter from Brunei's beaches, marking a significant step forward in our mission!
